Here's how I got my dream job in New York. A unique blend of persistent mild nagging and sending creative packages in the post. I created a printed magazine that featured all my best work, alongside adverts to showcase my tea making / football skillz / limited Dutch etc.
It took 3 years and I had to create a begging website for the HR department, but I made it there in the end. Definitely worth the sweat and tears.
